Let us introduce Noelia to you:

What's your job at iMusician?

I’m responsible for managing the team that checks music releases and delivers them to the platforms.

When and how did you join iMusician?

I joined iMusician six years ago. I was highly motivated and very excited from day one.

How is iMusician’s mission important for you?

As a musician, I think it’s extremely important to be able to act as your own manager or label without having to give away a percentage of your composition rights. iMusician makes it easy for artists to create additional revenue streams, and we do our best every day to make that happen.

What do you love about your job?

The team. We genuinely have an amazing group of people working together. I’ve never worked with such a great bunch of humans in my life — best coworkers ever. Everyone is super cool in their own way.

I’m also deeply in love with SQL, automations, and growing a career in tech, which makes my work even more exciting.

What was the biggest challenge you overcame during this time?

Learning SQL, Python, and JavaScript. It can be intense, but it’s incredibly useful for automating repetitive manual tasks.

What are the key things you have learned at iMD?

Leadership, personal growth, and the importance of teamwork.

What are the principles you follow at work?

Empathy is key to creating a healthy environment, along with creativity and responsibility.

Tell us about your typical work day. Do you have rituals?

I start the day by making mate [tea], then usually work on ideas that have come to me during my sleep. I also have my vitamin shake and a banana to get going.

How does iMD support you to keep a good work-life balance?

I’m originally from Argentina, so having the option to work from abroad for a couple of months each year makes a huge difference to me.

What do you do in your free time?

I’m a musician. I also keep learning different programming languages, and I coach spinning classes with techno music. I love cooking and recently started making sourdough.

What would be the tips you would give to someone aspiring to do the job you do?

You really need to love it; love music and enjoy working on a different side of the music industry.

What's the funniest thing that has ever happened to you at iMusician?

I discovered that some of my coworkers know all the songs from High School Musical. You can sometimes find us in the kitchen singing “Breaking Free” and doing the choreography to “We’re All in This Together.”

Fun fact about you?

My favorite movie saga is SAW, and I’ve watched all the movies at least four times.
