Our Story. By Musicians For Musicians - iMusician

Our Story: By Musicians, For Musicians

25 years ago, iMusician’s founders were electronic musicians starting their own record label. After finding their own way as artists, they founded iMusician to help their friends maneuver the music industry with more ease.

Over the last 25 years, iMusician fought for the rights of artists and evolved into a thriving community of half a million DIY musicians and independent record labels. Our evolution happened as physical record sales were plummeting and digital stores and streaming platforms started to pop up.

We grew alongside these changes, constantly adapting to the developments and frequent fluctuations within the music industry. Today, we are well equipped to navigate its current and future challenges—while always keeping the well-being of artists in mind.

Meet Our Team

Our Mission

At iMusician, we believe that musicians across all career stages deserve to be heard, paid, and treated fairly. Since day one, we've fought to break down the barriers of the music industry—whether by helping artists get their music on all relevant platforms, or by taking legal action against the big players in Switzerland to make the charts accessible to independent musicians.

Each day, we strive to provide artists and labels with tools to share their music with the world and build the careers they deserve. We aim to make it easy for everyone to upload, sell, manage, protect, and monetize their music. We believe that when artists are financially stable, informed, and supported, they can focus on what matters most: making music.
