How Can I Access Spotify For Artists?

Spotify for Artists is an interface that lets you manage your artist profile, connect with fans, understand your audience and grow your brand. When we deliver your release to Spotify, they take care of making it available on their platform and assign it to an artist profile. There are 2 possible scenarios:

1. You Already Have Music on Spotify

If you've previously released music on Spotify under your artist name, it means that your music is already linked to an existing profile on Spotify.

• When you’re creating your release, make sure to link your artist name to the corresponding profile so Spotify knows they have to assign the music to it.
• In order to request access to your artist profile, you’ll need to get your Artist URI.

2. This Is Your First Release on Spotify

If you’re releasing music on Spotify for the first time, a new artist profile will need to be created for you.

• When you’re creating your release, make sure to specify that your artist name is not linked to any existing Spotify artist profile.
• Once your release is delivered to Spotify, you’ll receive an email from us with your new Artist URI.

How To Get Access to my Spotify Artist Profile?

A Spotify Artist URI is a unique identifier for your artist profile. You can use this URI to access Spotify for Artists, which will allow you to add a bio, a profile picture, etc. For detailed instructions on how to request access, check out Spotify’s detailed procedure.

What If My Music Is Assigned to the Wrong Profile?

Spotify's attribution system isn’t perfect. Despite our best efforts, your release might sometimes get assigned to the wrong artist profile (e.g., it lands on the profile of a different artist with the same name).
