Although we recognize the growing use of AI tools in music creation and do not oppose their use in principle, we aim to maintain a consistent process aligned with our policies.
The Legal Considerations
The legal framework surrounding AI-generated music is still evolving. Current regulations cannot fully guarantee compliance with copyright ownership requirements, creating uncertainties for both creators and distributors. While we are closely monitoring these developments, until a clear and robust framework is established, we reserve the right to rejet an AI-generated content at our own discretion.
Third-Party Terms vs. Our Terms of Service
Although some third-party AI services (e.g., Suno, Udio) may grant licenses allowing the commercial use of AI-generated music, their terms and conditions do not override our own. Our Terms of Service is the only valid contractual framework governing the distribution services we provide. As a result, we reserve the right to refuse content that has been generated wholly or in part using AI (free or paid) and such releases will not be eligible for any refunds.
Store Policies
Most stores are currently prioritzing transparency when it comes to AI-generated content. Once your music has been delivered to a specific store, we don't have any control over their internal flagging policies. If your music appears on a store with an "AI-generated" tag, it won't be possible to change this.Â
