Can I Set Up A Pre-Order?

Yes, we offer the option to set up pre-orders on Beatport (currently, this option is not available for other shops). Here's everything you need to know to set up your pre-order:


Setting Up Pre-Orders on Beatport:

To set up a pre-order, follow these steps:

  1. Make sure your release is ordered and paid before submitting your pre-order request.
  2. After you've finished ordering your release, fill out this form.

Please allow at least 7 business days for us to set up your pre-order. Ensure you choose a release date that provides enough time for us to complete the setup. If your selected release date is too soon, we may not be able to proceed with the pre-order.

Exclusivity Period:

Within the same form, you can also request an exclusivity period for your release on Beatport.

  • What’s an exclusivity period? An exclusivity period is a designated time frame (2, 4, or 8 weeks, or Lifetime) during which your music will be exclusively available for purchase on Beatport. During this time, the chosen store will be the only platform where your music can be downloaded.
  • Can I distribute my music to other platforms during the exclusivity period? Yes! While the exclusivity period applies only to Beatport (a download store), your music can still be available on streaming platforms like Spotify, Deezer, Apple Music, etc. without affecting the exclusivity.

Choosing an exclusivity period offers several benefits:

  • Your release will be highlighted with an exclusive tag on Beatport, making it more prominent to customers.
  • Exclusive releases often have a higher price than non-exclusive releases, helping you maximize earnings during the exclusivity period.

Once the exclusivity period has ended, Beatport will automatically remove the exclusive tag, and the price may be lowered to reflect this. We will also make sure that your release is distributed to all other platforms that were not included in the exclusivity period 🤝
