How Can I Release My Music On Beatport & Traxsource?

Beatport and Traxsource are platforms known for specializing in electronic music. There are a few requirements in order to distribute your music there, here’s what you need to know: 


Understanding the Platforms

  • Beatport focuses on electronic music across a wide range of subgenres.
  • Traxsource primarily targets house music and its subgenres, such as Deep House and Tech House. To distribute on Traxsource, ensure your genre selection is limited to House, Deep House, or Tech House.

Registering Your Label

To distribute your music on Beatport and Traxsource, you’ll need to register your label first:

  1. When ordering your release, click the + button under Release > Label to create a new custom label. Make sure that your desired label name doesn’t already exist on Beatport and/or Traxsource, as duplicate names are not allowed!
  2. After paying for your order, fill out this form to issue a registration request to Beatport and Traxsource. Label registration can take up to one month to be processed, so make sure to plan your release date accordingly. Remember, if your label is not registered, Beatport & Traxsource will not accept your release.
  3. If your registration is accepted, you’ll receive a confirmation email. Once approved, your release will be uploaded to the respective platform.

Using iM Electronica

If you don’t have your own label or if you prefer to avoid going through the registration process, you can always select our pre-registered label - iM Electronica - to distribute your music on both platforms.

If you’ve already registered your label on our platform, there’s no need to register it again.

Important Things About Beatport:

  • Beatport does not allow duplicate artist names, so make sure to check Beatport’s site to make sure your desired artist name is available before you create your release.
  • Once your label is registered, you can request changes to your Beatport label page using this form.
