Worries And Other Plants

Rising Swiss artist Worries And Other Plants continues to carve out his niche in the psych-rock world with his latest release 'Pieces'. The dreamy 5 song EP finds Dio honing his craft again with accessible, yet adventurous tunes that are just as suitable for a sunny day in the park as they are for a long road trip.

“Musical seeds are planted inside our worries. We change and let them grow into beautiful plants. It's like an experiment between the arts. This homegrown project blends music with photography, film, and graphics. Everything starts here… and where this journey will lead, time will tell."

We caught up with Dio this month to learn about his past releases, what he has in store in 2022, and how he's found success with a DIY approach.

Can you tell us something about your last Single 'Sand Feet Walk'?

“...she's feeling quite alive - for another time tonight.” These are the words that most readily explain the meaning of Sand Feet Walk. The single closes the previous album Dreams & Nightmares with this message. A musical retrospective with a modern spirit and an everlasting theme; the search for a sense of home. Towards the sun, looking for a place to be at peace - at least for a few sweet hours.

Can you tell us a little bit about your journey on Spotify and other streaming and download platforms?

The possibilities of streaming platforms are great. You have access to many underground artists who would otherwise remain hidden. It's exciting how Worries And Other Plants get heard around the world! But as a big fan of analog records and graphics, I will release my album also on vinyl – because nothing can replace this "real-life" experience!

What projects do you have for this year?

In the near future, I will concentrate on writing more new songs. I think that it is best to be creative and to enrich the world with new music while playing live shows is still uncertain these days. But hitting the stage with a full band is maybe the next thing to get done!
