How to personalize your artist and label profile on Beatport?

As an electronic musician, DJ or electronic label manager, your first step on this specialized shop will be to personalize your artist or label page. For an insider's take on how the platform works, iMusician invited Steve Mill, music producer and Artist & Industry Relations Manager at Beatport, to share some insights with us.
Why do you need to personalize and optimize your Beatport’s profile?
First, you will need a verified profile and artist page to get your music delivered to Beatport. Even though this is already a great reason, working on your branding is an essential step in your musical career in general — this doesn't necessarily mean that you will need complex pictures or a Pulitzer worth biography. Still, your profile should give an idea of your artistic persona and, most importantly, your music. Check out our guide on how to craft your visual identity and write a killer biography.
Every artist can have a picture of 590x404 size and a biography of up to 2000 characters attached to their profile. Biography is considered any type of description the artist wants to have under their profile. We don’t recommend adding links to social media.
Additionally, it’s possible for artists to link their user profile (aka DJ profile, as Beatport store users) with their artist page in order for all the charts that they create to show up under CHARTS section on their artist profiles.
Alternatively, artists can refer to contentsupport@beatport.com with their requests regarding their artist profiles.
How to personalize your label profile on Beatport?
Go to the Beatport's form and fill in the information you land to:
- Supplier Name
- Label Name
- Beatport URL
- Image (Logo) 500x500 pixels
- Label biography (optional)
- When you're done with the info requested to optimize your page, hit "submit" at the end to complete it and send it to Beatport's team
How to personalize your artists profile on Beatport?
Follow those steps to personalize your artist’s profile on Beatport

Artist's photo 590 x 404 pixels
Artist Name
Beatport Artist URL
Beatport Form https://www.jotform.com/form/13105057250
Go to the Beatport's form and fill in the information you land to:
- Artist Name
- Beatport Artist URL
- Tick the box if you have Charts to link to your profile
- Beatport Username
Upload an artist picture according to the specifics provided and add a biography.
The artist picture should be 590 x 404 pixels and up to 3000 x 2054 pixels.
The artist's biography can be up to 2,000 characters
When you're done with the info requested to optimize your page, hit "submit" at the end to complete it and send it to Beatport's team.
It takes up to two weeks for these requests to be processed by the Content team.
Soon, artists will have the opportunity to make profile updates directly through their user accounts, in a similar way they do with Spotify For Artists.
If there are more specific requests, we always advise our labels to speak to their distributors, as that’s the best and quickest way for the information to come at our end.
