After persuading 97% of its long-time Premium subscribers to switch to its bundled offering, Spotify has now officially launched a music-only subscription plan, pressuring the remaining subscribers to make the switch.

It’s been a long time coming. TikTok is taking its evolution into a record label to the next stage. Just recently, news broke that the company is forming an in-house Music Content Investment Team to explore and seize “partnership or acquisition opportunities in the music content space on a global level.” The team will reportedly reside in Los Angeles, New York, and San Diego.

Earlier this month, the British band Coldplay announced that their forthcoming album, Moon Music, will be released using unprecedented sustainable measures. As we reported in our previous article, this new record will be available on a limited ‘River Plastic’ Vinyl LP made entirely of discarded, floating plastic. Additionally, the album will be released on a CD made from 90% recycled polycarbonate.

The Dutch non-profit organization The Ocean Cleanup is set to release a new type of vinyl LP, produced entirely of reclaimed discarded, floating plastic. The disc will be used for the physical release of Coldplay’s new album later this year.
