Can I Set the Price of My Music on the Shops?
In some cases, you can set the price within the available pricing tiers but this is generally limited to platforms like iTunes, where artists or labels can choose from a range of predefined price points.
Default Pricing
By default, we deliver all tracks at the medium tier price. For certain download platforms, you can choose from the following price options:
- Low: 0.69.- per track
- Medium: 0.99.- per track
- High: 1.29.- per track
Pricing for Full Releases
The price of a full release (album or EP) is calculated based on the individual track prices and the total number of tracks. However, the price of the entire release must not exceed the sum of the individual track prices if they were bought separately. For example, the album price should generally be lower than the total of the individual track prices.
Platform Guidelines Regarding Price Suggestions
iTunes is the only platform where the suggested prices will be applied, as long as they meet the platform’s guidelines. For other download shops (e.g. Beatport) unfortunately we cannot guarantee that the suggested prices will be accepted.
