How Can I Remove My Release From The Shops?
Whether you want to take your music down from the shops or deactivate the Content ID monetization for your tracks, you can make these requests directly from your dashboard 👇
Requesting a Takedown for a Release
To initiate the takedown of a release, please follow these steps:
- Log into your account.
- Go to Library > Releases and open the release you wish to take down.
- Under Music distribution, click on Manage then select Take down.
- Copy-paste the title of the release and click Confirm.
- To finalize the takedown, click the link in the confirmation email you receive from us.
⚠️Very important:
- This action is irreversible.
- Once completed, the status of the release in your library will be updated but you won’t be able to delete it.
- The release will be removed from all stores within 2-4 weeks.
Deactivating Content ID
To deactivate YouTube Content ID monetization for your tracks, follow these steps:
- Log into your account.
- Go to Library > Tracks and select the tracks you want to demonetize.
- Under Select service click Take down from CID.
- Enter the email address associated with your iMusician account and click Confirm.
- To complete the process, click the link in the confirmation email you receive.
⚠️Very important:
- This action is irreversible
- The Content ID will be deactivated within 2-4 weeks.
- If your release is removed from YouTube Music, any associated Content ID monetization will automatically be deactivated as well.
Partial take-down of your release (only from specific shops)
If you need to take down your release from specific shops only, please issue this request as a modification.
