Can I Split My Revenue With Other People?

Yes! Revenue Splits is a great way to make sure that everyone involved in your music receives their fair share of the earnings. This feature is available to AMPLIFY+ and AMPLIFY Pro users and it lets you divide your music royalties transparently and efficiently 💸

1. How Do I Set Up Revenue Splits for My Music?

👉For New Releases:

When you’re creating  a new release, you can easily set up Revenue Splits for each collaborator. You have two options:

  • Set the percentage share for all tracks when entering the release details.
  • Customize the split for each individual track during the upload process.

👉For Existing Releases:

  • Sign in to your iMusician account.
  • Go to Library > Releases and open the release you want to apply the splits to. From there, click on Edit.
  • Add the names of your collaborators and specify their percentage splits. Make sure the total adds up to 100%.

You can also set the splits for individual tracks. To do so, go to Library > Tracks and select the track you want to apply the splits to. From there, go to the Revenue Splits tab.

2. Can I Edit the Splits Anytime I Want?

Yes, you can update the splits even after your release is live. As the release owner, you have full control over Revenue Splits — you can edit collaborator names, adjust percentages, or add and remove collaborators. Please note that if you change collaborator names, the new names will be reflected in both past and future records.

Revenue splits are calculated based on the settings as of the first day of the month. For example:

  • If you change the split on August 25th from 50%/50% to 85%/15%, the new split will be applied in September.

You can change the splits as many times as you like, but they will only take effect from the first day of the next month.

3. Can I Split Royalties with Someone Who Doesn't Have an iMusician Account?

Yes! You can split royalties with anyone, even if they don’t have an iMusician account. Simply include their name when setting up your Revenue Splits. As the primary account holder, you will have full control over the funds. You can request payouts at your convenience and even add additional payout accounts, such as bank accounts or PayPal, to make paying your collaborators easier.

4. How Do I See the Individual Earnings and Issue Payouts?

You can track individual earnings from your dashboard under Revenue > Statements. There, you can view your earnings on a monthly or yearly basis and use the date range filter for a detailed history of your earnings.

As the account holder, you can issue payouts to your collaborators at your discretion. You are in full control of the finances so remember, no split earnings will be paid out automatically. You manage when and how payouts are made!
