How Can I Manage My Sales Reports?

We make managing your sales reports easy and straightforward. Here’s how you can download, open, and check your reports 👇

1. Download Your Sales Report

Follow these steps to download your sales report from your iMusician dashboard:

  1. Log in to your iMusician Dashboard.
  2. Go to Revenue > Statements and click on Download your sales data. This will generate a .csv file.
  3. Go to Account > Downloads to download the .csv file you just generated.

2. Open Your Sales Report

If you’re familiar with spreadsheet applications, you can use your preferred app to open the file. If it's your first time, we recommend using Google Sheets. Here’s how:

  1. Click here to open a new Google Sheets tab in your browser.
  2. Go to File > Import.
  3. In the Open a file window, go to the Upload tab and select the .csv file from your computer.
  4. Your sales report will now open in Google Sheets.

💡Here are a couple of useful tips for Google Sheets:

  • Freeze Rows: Freeze the header row to keep column titles visible while scrolling.
  • Sort Your Data: To organize your data by a specific parameter (e.g., Release Title, Barcode, Shop, Country):
    • Select all cells (CTRL+A).
    • Go to Data > Sort Range and choose the parameter you want to sort by.

3. Understand Your Sales Report

Your sales report contains the following details:

  • Sales Date: The month when your music was sold/streamed.
  • Statement Date: When the transaction was uploaded to your account.
  • Track Title: The name of the track.
  • Track Version: Specific version of the track.
  • Artist: The artist name associated with the release.
  • Shop: The digital store where the stream/download occurred.
  • Release Title: The title of your single, EP, or album.
  • Transaction Type: Download, stream, or YouTube monetization.
  • Barcode: UPC of your release.
  • Country: The country where the stream/sale happened.
  • Label: Name of the label associated with the release.
  • Quantity: Number of streams/sales as reported by the store.
  • ISRC: The code that uniquely identifies your song.
  • Revenue EUR: The amount of money paid to your account.

4. Compile All Your Sales Reports

Make sure to download your sales reports regularly and compile them into a master sheet for your personal accounting. This way, you’ll always have access to your complete sales history whenever you need it — which can be very useful!
