I Am Missing Some Cash Credit. Why?
If you notice that some Cash Credit is missing from your iMusician account, there are several possible explanations for this:
1. Check Your Account Settings
Verify whether your Cash Credit has been used to pay for invoices. Go to Profile > Account Settings and check if the switch "Use Cash Credit for open invoices" is activated.
If it is, it means that whenever you paid for a new invoice, part of your Cash Credit was automatically used to cover the costs. You can see the deducted amounts by opening the corresponding invoices.
2. Your Cash Credit Was Converted to Promo Credit
If you see that your Cash Credit has been converted to Promo Credit, it’s because you haven’t logged into your iMusician account for a whole calendar year. To minimize exchange rate risk, we convert Cash Credit to Promo Credit after one year of inactivity. To avoid this, make sure to log into your account at least once a year!
3. Some Penalties Were Applied
In some cases, penalties may be applied to your sales (e.g., by Spotify due to stream-boosting activities). These penalties are automatically deducted from your Cash Credit balance. The deducted amounts correspond to the penalties you’ve incurred. You’ll see the details in your monthly sales report.
4. You’ve Issued Cash Credit Payout Requests
If you’ve already transferred your Cash Credit to your bank or PayPal account (or it’s currently being paid out), the corresponding amount will no longer be available in your iMusician account.
