How to take down a release or deactivate the Content ID?
Requesting a Takedown for a release
Requesting a Takedown from all platforms is free of charge*. To request the takedown of a release, please follow these steps:
- From your release library, open the release that you want to take down and click on “Manage” in the “Music Distribution” section;
- Click on “Take down”;
- Copy-paste the title of the release, and click on “Confirm”.
- To confirm the takedown, click the link in the email you receive from us. This process CANNOT be reversed:

The status of your release will change to “Takedown request processed”. You will also receive an email confirming that the takedown is being processed. Your release will be removed from the online shops within 2-4 weeks.
*Takedowns from specific shops are only available with AMPLIFY+.
Deactivating Content ID
If you want to deactivate the YouTube Content ID of your tracks, please follow these steps:
- From "Library" -> "Tracks", select the tracks for which you want to deactivate the Content ID and click on “Take down from CID”;
- Enter the email address associated with your iMusician account, and click on “Confirm”.
- To confirm the takedown, click the link in the email you receive from us. This process CANNOT be reversed:

You will receive an email confirming that the takedown process is being processed and the CID will be removed within 2-4 weeks.
Note: If your release gets taken down from YouTube Music, the affiliated Content ID monetization will automatically be deactivated as well.
