I Would Like To Release My Music In Specific Countries. Is That Possible?

Not only is it possible, sometimes it’s necessary! While we recommend worldwide distribution by default to reach the largest possible audience, there are certain cases where carefully selecting the countries may be necessary.

  1. Worldwide Distribution by Default

Your music will be released globally by default, ensuring that it reaches a worldwide audience. If you prefer to target specific countries for your release, you can customize this at no additional cost if you are subscribed to AMPLIFY, AMPLIFY+, or AMPLIFY Pro. Starter users will incur a fee of 10 euros for this service.

  1. Country Restrictions for Explicit Content

Some countries have restrictions on explicit content and may not allow its distribution. This includes:

  • Belarus
  • Burkina Faso
  • India
  • Nepal
  • Uzbekistan

If your release contains explicit content, it will not be distributed to these countries.

  1. Releasing Covers of American Songs

If you’re distributing a cover version of an American song (i.e. the original composers and lyricists are from the U.S), North America (USA and Canada) must be excluded from your distribution list.

  1. Important Note on YouTube Content ID

When choosing to release in specific countries, YouTube’s Content ID cannot be activated on your tracks. This feature is only available for releases that are distributed worldwide.
