What Happens After I Submit My Music To iMusician?

Submitting your music to iMusician is an exciting step in your musical journey. Once you’ve placed your order, there are a few essential steps before it becomes available on major streaming platforms. Here’s what you can expect after you submit your release.


  1. Quality Check

After submitting your music to us, your release goes through a thorough quality check by our team. At this stage, we check the following things:

  • Metadata Accuracy: We ensure that all the information you’ve filled in (such as artist names, track titles, contributors, etc.) is accurate and complies with the shops’ guidelines.
  • Audio Requirements: We verify that your audio files meet streaming services’ requirements.
  • Artwork Requirements: We review your artwork to make sure it adheres to the shops’ requirements.
  • Rights Verification: We verify that all copyrights attached to the music and artwork are correctly attributed, especially in cases of samples, collaborations, or covers.

If any issues are found, the release is put on hold and we notify you directly on the dashboard or via email so that you can make the necessary corrections. Make sure to address the corrections as soon as possible if you want to avoid delaying the release date!

💡Pro Tip: If you’re planning a release on a specific date, we recommend submitting your release at least 4 weeks in advance so you have enough time to address potential issues!


  1. Delivery to Digital Stores & Streaming Platforms

Once your release passes the quality check, we deliver it to the digital stores and streaming platforms you’ve selected. From that moment until the release date, you will have the option to pitch your track on Spotify and share your pre-save links to promote your upcoming release with your fans!


  1. Release Status and Tracking

Once your release is live on all the stores, we’ll send you a notification via e-mail. You’ll find the links to the main shops where your release is available thanks to your Release Page. We also provide insights and analytics to help you keep track of your audience’s streaming habits and earnings.

  • How long does it take for my release to go live? It depends on the type of delivery you select, the release date you pick, whether or not you’ve chosen to pitch your tracks, and the number of releases our team needs to check during that specific period. 
  • What happens if there’s an issue with my release? If there are any issues (such as incorrect metadata or artwork), you’ll receive a notification with instructions on how to fix them. Make sure to address them as soon as possible to avoid delaying the release date!
  • Can I make changes after I’ve submitted my release? Yes, you can request changes at any time directly from your dashboard; however, keep in mind that certain things cannot be modified once the release has been delivered!
